Michelle Miller is an American journalist and a national correspondent for CBS News. Currently, she works as a co-host on CBS Saturday Morning. Additionally, Michelle has also served as a substitute anchor on CBS Mornings and 48 Hours on ID.

Michelle has won numerous awards including an Edward R. Murrow Award in 1998 and the Woman of the Year Award from the National Sports Foundation.  In 1997, she won the National Association of Black Journalists Award of Excellence. During the school’s May commencement ceremony for the Class of 2019, Michelle won an honorary degree from St. Francis College upon reading her keynote address.

In addition to her co-hosting and reporting duties, Michelle has served on the March of Dimes National Communications Advisory Council. Before that, she worked as vice president of the YWCA of Greater New Orleans. Michelle has also served as the president of both the Black Journalists Association of Southern California and the New Orleans Association of Black Journalists. Additionally, she is a former member of the Board of Advisors at Hampton University’s Scripps Howard School of Journalism.

She has also participated in the Poynter Institute. Michelle was a Hitesman Lecturer at Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication, the Annual H. Naylor Fitzhugh Conference at the Harvard Business School as well as a guest speaker for the National Model UN Program.
