Cara Sapida Breast Cancer

In June 2020, Cara was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, but now she is cancer-free. It all began when she discovered a lump in her left breast on the morning of June 18, 2020. After a medical examination, Cara received the news that she had Stage 2, triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.

Fortunately, the type of breast cancer Cara had responded better to chemotherapy. Consequently, she underwent 12 weekly and then four biweekly rounds of chemo, with surgery planned to follow.

In January 2021, a month after completing chemotherapy, Cara underwent a double mastectomy surgery. Surprisingly, she found the surgery much easier to endure compared to chemotherapy. Both physically and emotionally, Cara’s recovery went well, and she healed successfully.

Now, Cara is devoted to providing support to others facing similar challenges. She aims to share her experiences and what to expect during treatment that doctors might not always disclose.
